The Vikings have 2 first round picks (#23 and #25) in the first round.  Conventional wisdom will tell us that the Vikings will use one of those first round picks on a receiver to replace Percy Harvin, who the Vikings traded to Seattle.  A clear #1 receiver isn't in this draft.  Could someone emerge as a #1 receiver at some point but no Calvin Johnson or A.J. Green is on this year's draft.  Tavon Austin and Corderelle Patterson could turn out to be #1 receivers but they could also turn out to be role players only.

The Vikings have put themselves in a position that they need a starting middle linebacker, a starting defensive tackle and some help at cornerback.  I would like to see the Vikings add North Carolina Defensive Tackle Sylvester Williams at #23 and middle linebacker Manti Teo of Notre Dame at #25.  Williams can play both defensive tackle positions.  Teo is the most decorated middle linebacker in college football history and is one of only a few pure middle linebackers.  Teo is a controversial pick but most of the controversy has to do with something that has nothing to do with football.

The Vikings could also consider cornerback Xavier Rhodes of Florida State at #23 or #25 and add middle linebacker Alec Ogletree or defensive tackle Jesse Williams of Alabama.
