The Minnesota Vikings (6-9) had a very short relationship with running back Ben Tate, after placing him on waivers today -- the second team to cut him loose in less than a month. Tate was released by the Cleveland Browns in November.

With Adrian Peterson out, and Jerrick McKinnon injured -- Tate still couldn't carve out a place for himself on the team. Minnesota running back Matt Asiata has been getting the starts lately, and has been carrying the ball with hard-hitting purpose.

The Vikings play their final game of the season this Sunday in Minneapolis against da Bears.
