October is all about the fight against breast cancer… and Susan G. Komen for the Cure is getting support from General Mills with the Save Lids to Save Lives program! Now, the program is expanding beyond Yoplait, including your favorite General Mills brands, like Honey Nut Cheerios, Betty Crocker, and Progresso. Look for the pink lids on packages! Clip, collect, and submit them together… and you’ll trigger donations that benefit breast cancer outreach programs in local communities. For each pink lid received by mail or code entered online at www.SaveLidsToSaveLives.com by June 30, 2013, General Mills will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Maximum total donation of $2,500,000. General Mills has already donated $500,000 and will donate up to an additional $2,000,000 based on lids submitted and other consumer actions.
