Waite Park 13AAA Goes 2-0 In World Series

The Waite Park 13AAA youth baseball team defeated host team, Kitsap, Washington in Kitsap 3-2 late Thursday night to improve to 2-0 in pool play.  Michael Petron went 2-4 with 1 RBI and Peter Nelson threw 3 shutout innings for the Silverstars.  Both teams had 9 hits.

Kitsap is coached by St. John’s graduate Michael Smith.  Waite Park will host Meridian, Idaho at 3pm (Central Time) this afternoon.  The tournament continues until August 22.
