Yep, everything you wanna know from last night's 1st show at Target Center is here...

As Jon Bream of the Star Tribune reviewed, Garth is still Golden...and I couldn't agree more after sitting in Section 228 last night! For his single show opening night, Garth took the stage around 8:30PM for over two hours of fun with his wife and longtime band. There isn't a bad seat in the house, even with speakers and a video cube hanging over the stage. I expect a similar song set for each of his next 11 shows, so here's last night's playlist:

  1. Man Against Machine
  2. Rodeo
  3. Two of a Kind, Workin' on a Full House
  4. The Beaches of Cheyenne
  5. The River
  6. Papa Loved Mama
  7. Ain't Goin' Down ('Til the Sun Comes Up) (complete with beers cans spilling all over him!)
  8. Unanswered Prayers
  9. That Summer
  10. The Thunder Rolls
  11. People Loving People (In my opinion- a better song live!)
  12. In Another's Eyes (duet with Trisha Yearwood)

    Trisha Yearwood's Mini-Set
  13. XXX's and OOO's (An American Girl)
  14. How Do I Live
  15. PrizeFighter (really wished it was the duet with Kelly Clarkson)
  16. She's In Love With The Boy (she gave Garth a big smooch after this one)

    Garth Returns
  17. Shameless (Billy Joel cover)
  18. Callin' Baton Rouge (probably the best crowd reaction for a song)
  19. Friends in Low Places
  20. The Dance
  21. The Fever (Aerosmith cover)
  22. Two Piña Coladas
  23. Standing Outside the Fire
  24. Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)

Garth was loving the cell phone action in the crowd, so empty your memory cards and bring extra batteries! Wallet chains, Mace or pepper spray, pocket knives, and weapons of any kind are not allowed inside Target Center. Doors open 1.5 hours prior to start time for all performances except the 10:30pm shows in which the doors will open at 9:30pm. Door times could be delayed for the 10:30pm shows due to the number of guests exiting from a previous performance and no souvenirs will be sold after any 6:30pm shows. More tips from Jonathan here:
