What Did You Find Most Exciting About Turning 18?

My sister is celebrating her 18th birthday day.  Man, does that make me feel old!  I'm excited for her because turning into an adult is a big deal.

When I turned 18 I think the thing I was most looking forward to was being able to buy lottery tickets and go to the casino.  I'm not in to gambling by any means but once in a while is fun.  At that point, it was more about just being able to buy them than actually doing it.

The downside for me was I've always looked older than I am so I could have gotten away with it earlier.  I get carded more now than I did when I was in my teens, which is really flattering.

Anyway, what were you most excited about when you turned 18?
