I had to go to the store last night, right before close.  They were making the closing announcement and shutting off lights.  It got me thinking about crazy childhood fears.

According to my mom, I wasn't afraid of anything when I was a kid.  I was pretty fearless. My siblings were a different story though.

My oldest brother, Paul, was terrified of getting locked in the store.  If he heard the closing announcements and saw lights being shut off, he would hurry along whoever took him to the store.  If it got too close, you were probably looking at a full fledged melt down.

My sister, Rebecca, would not set foot on an escalator.  If you wanted to see someone totally freak, you'd put her on one of those.  She's gotten better, but she'd still prefer the elevator.

What was your childhood fear?
