What’s Safer Footwear to Take The Ice on… Fashion Boots With a Heel or Normal Athletic Shoes With a Flat Sole
After lunch this afternoon, I came back to the 98 Country studio and arrived the same time as Amber, who works in the building. As I gathered my stuff from my car to go into the building I noticed she was wearing the boots pictured below, which have a small heel on the bottom.
As Amber gracefully walked across our ice covered parking lot, I was impressed at how well she slid her self to the door. So impressed that I let her know it. I said, "you're pretty good on the ice with those heels."
I mean, she made it look effortless, but she said, "it's not easy."
Then she, being the nice person she is, held the door for me as I was making my way in. It's still cold outside, so I didn't want her to wait forever... so, I decided to hustle up a little bit, and I'm wearing the normal FLAT athletic shoes you see below, but as I got up to the door... BOOM!! I came crashing down to the sidewalk.
Maybe it's not the shoes in winter, as much as it is the person wearing the shoes. Heels win this round.
