As soon as the calendar turns to November the only thing I can think about is Black Friday! I love it so much it rivals my birthday for my favorite day of the year. But there is one thing about this beloved day that is really starting to get under my skin...the stores are opening earlier every year, and it's really putting a damper on my excitement.

There is something about waking up in the wee hours of the morning to stand in line in the cold and brave the crowds of shoppers that I find fun and exciting (yes, I'm aware I'm crazy). But when this ritual cuts into my Thanksgiving day due to early store openings, it just isn't the same. Not to mention all the employees that are forced to leave their families early to go to work, that's just not right.

Despite my anger about the early openings, yes I will still be participating in Black Friday - I mean come on, I can't turn down an opportunity to spend too much money on stuff I don't need.

If you are planning on shopping this Black Friday here is a list of some of the bigger stores opening times so you can start making your plans. Heads up - you might want to bump up your Thanksgiving dinner time to allow for a short nap before you hit the stores.

Walmart - 8 p.m. Thanksgiving day

Sears - 8 p.m. Thanksgiving day

Target - 9 p.m. Thanksgiving day

Toys R Us - most stores opening at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving day

Best Buy - midnight Black Friday

Macy's - midnight Black Friday

Kohl's - midnight Black Friday

Staples - 5 a.m. Black Friday

JC Penny - 6 a.m. Black Friday

Best of luck, I think you may need it!
