Wild Down Florida In Overtime Shootout
The Minnesota Wild downed Florida 3-2 in an overtime shootout Thursday night. Erik Christensen and Matt Cullen each scored a goal in the shootout and Florida failed to score a goal in the shootout. Kyle Brodziak and Matt Cullen each scored a goal in regulation and Niklas Backstrom had 41 saves for Minnesota.
The Wild are 27-24-9 and with 63 points are in 12th place in the Western Conference standings. Minnesota is 3 points back of Dallas, Calgary and Los Angeles for the 8th and final playoff spot in the West. The Wild play at Dallas at 7:30 tonight, pregame on WJON at 7:05.
