I've never been a fan of working through my lunch break.  Not because I don't want to keep working, it's just one of those things where it's nice to escape and really take a break.

With that being said, I work through my lunch break almost every single day and it turns out it may actually be good for you.  The University of Toronto conducted the study and they found that if you go to lunch with your co-workers, you're either eating with people you really don't like or you're eating with people you do like and then all you do is complain about work.  Either way, it's not good for the rest of your day.

At my last job, I got as much work as I possibly could done and then went to lunch.  If there was someone else in the lunch room, there was a lot of gossiping and complaining going on.  Usually, someone would say something that would get me or someone else fired up and it was just downhill from there.  Finally, I started leaving for lunch every day...whatever takes to maintain your sanity.
