EDEN PRAIRIE (AP) - When Mike Zimmer was hired by the Minnesota Vikings, he said he took pride in being "a fixer." He is the kind of coach that revels in the teaching aspect of the game, which makes this weekend's rookie mini-camp an ideal way to get started in purple.

Zimmer says he likes what he sees from his first rookie class, which includes first-round draft picks Anthony Barr at linebacker and Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback.

Barr made the switch from running back just two years ago. Zimmer says he is looking forward to working on subtle techniques to mold him into an impact player on the team's revamped defense.

Zimmer says he has been impressed by Bridgewater's study habits and work ethic.
